Uniform Requirements

Babies - Pre Primary (NON EXAM)

The Royal Academy of Dance regulation leotard is not compulsory but leotards must be pink. Pink or white socks must be worn under pink ballet shoes. NO BARE FEET PERMITTED

The brand names of Bloch and Capezio are recommended and if not in stock can be ordered at the school. All ballet shoes must have elastic over the insteps.

Please avoid the cheaper ballet shoes as they do not enhance the dancers foot and are NOT recommended.

Hair must be neatly brushed back off the face.

Pre Primary - Grade 2

Students must wear Royal Academy of Dance regulation pink leotards (sold at the school only) as these are compulsory for exams.

Pink tights or socks and pink ballet shoes with elastic. Hair must be neatly back from the face.

Grades 3 - 5

Students must wear Royal Academy of Dance regulation Navy blue leotards (sold at the school only) as these are compulsory for exams.

Pink tights and pink ballet shoes with elastic or ribbon. Hair must be tied back in a bun.

Grades 6 - 8

Leotard colour varies by Grade. Please contact the office for current leotard colours.

Pink tights and pink ballet shoes with elastic or ribbon. Hair must be tied back in a bun.

Intermediate Foundation - Advanced 2

Black camisole leotard

Pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic or ribbon. Pink pointe shoes.

Hair must be in a classical bun

OTHER ESSENTIAL ITEMS NEEDED FOR EXAMS R.A.D REGULATION ONLY

Pre Primary and Primary = Pink chiffon skirts (sold at the school only)

Grade 1 - Grade 8 = Black character skirt and black character shoes

Grade 6 - 8 = Mid Calf chiffon skirt in colour of leotard

Jazz and Tap

Red leotard (available from the school) and black Jazz pants/tights are required for jazz and tap classes at all levels.

ALL ARTICLES OF CLOTHING MUST BE NAMED. SHOES MUST HAVE THE NAME OF STUDENT ON THE INSIDE OF THE SHOE NOT ON THE OUTSIDE SOLE. JEWELRY MUST BE REMOVED FOR CLASS SO PLEASE LEAVE ANY VALUABLES AT HOME.
